Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to
execute code under the privileges of the application.

The following versions of LAquis SCADA are affected:
* LAquis SCADA versions prior to 4.3.1.870

An attacker who convinces a valid user to open a specially crafted project
file to exploit could execute code under the privileges of the application due
to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability.
[CVE-2020-25188](http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2020-25188)
has been assigned to this vulnerability. A CVSS v3 base score of 7.8 has been
calculated; the CVSS vector string is

### 3.4 RESEARCHER
An anonymous researcher working with Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative
reported this vulnerability to CISA.
## 4\. MITIGATIONS
LCDS recommends users update to [Version 4.3.1.870 or
later](https://laquisscada.com/).

Only use project files from trusted sources.
